Generic Male Orthographs

Since we have a crowd scene, we'll need plenty of slight variations on this guy - I'm thinking different hats/hairstyles, moustaches on some, as well as different coloured suits

Heroine Orthographs

Since she's meant to be the niece of the Scientist, I tried to show they are related.  They share an underlying head structure and nose, and also there's a bit of similarity between the silhouette of her dress and his lab coat.  At the same time, her shoulders are referencing the hero's sleeves too.

General Orthographs

Hero Orthographs

It took quite a few attempts, but I think I've managed to keep the feel of the concept piece (albeit a bit squarer)

Geometric Character Designs

Tweaking of Kolade's designs, trying to incorporate more of what Alan said about curves vs straight lines.

Modelled Centipede head

I wanted to do a model of the image I created. Granted, the design of the centipede may change because of style rethink but it was good to play around with animal anatomy and geometry. It was fun to work out where everything went and how it would move if it was rigged.

Stylisation Experiment

Following Alan's comments on stylisation, I tried to do the characters in a Hannah Barbera style.
The faces are horrible, but I quite like the stylised bodies, especially the general.  Maybe with a bit more practice in this style, I can produce a head that doesn't look hideous...

Centipede Design

Theres been a small demand for designs of the centipede and here they are:

I really like this design because it looks so fierce and powerful, it is also a mutation look of the original centipede. I wanted to colour and then saturate the image to show what it would look like in the final black and white effected animation.

This design is more eye pleasing for me because of that powerful neck and extreme pincers. This has been designed closer to the actual centipede.
